This boutique winery, vineyard, cellar door and paddock to plate restaurant is located on a sprawling rural property just a short drive from Brisbane.
Established as part of the Kurwongbah Eco Lodge, it is nestled amongst the trees and Koala habitat area in Brisbane's north and offers guests a secluded setting to escape the hustle and bustle and take time to relax and recharge.
Inspired by the breadth of the eagles wings, the roof forms soar over the rolling hills, rocky escarpment and columns of trees of the built form and the landscape.
The winery, restaurant and whole retreat have been designed to step with the natural contours of the land to ensure environmental sensitivity and site responsiveness.
The restaurant and main buildings within the retreat have been designed to be located within existing cleared areas on the site. The vineyards which frame the development will be established on undulating terrain between the eco retreat and the existing residential and agricultural uses.
